Willows Caravan Park was established 1968 after a couple of owners was purchased by ourselves 2024 and have worked daily improving the park and bringing it up to standard and keeping its charm and appeal to create a relaxed getaway for the sapphire hunters away from the hustle of the larger towns willows designated fossicking area is approximately 3000 acres

Powered site
Power hookups are numbered and assigned to each site, please do not use more than one. Please note only 1 caravan/tent/camper per site
Chemical toilets
TOILET DUMP is located at Sapphire between Sapphire and Rubyvale. Please do not empty into our septic system as the chemicals will kill off the bacteria, the system will smell and cease to operate.
(we take this very seriously and you will be asked to leave immediately with no refund)
Air conditioners
We would be very grateful if you helped us stay eco-friendly by not running your air conditioners and heaters all day and night when not necessary.
Gemstone Wash Area
Please only use designated gemstone wash area no other sinks / drains or taps are to be used for gemstone washing wash area is located next to the large pale green water tank and is set out with water Willoughby’s sieves benches and tubs for waste stone
Pets
We love having your pets come to visit, for the safety of other guests and your pets, please keep them on a leash at all times. You are welcome to take them into the BBQ areas, but please do not take them into the camp kitchen.

Facilities & Amenities
Our park is fully equipped to ensure your stay is both practical and comfortable. Beyond our core amenities, we offer private washrooms, a coin-operated laundromat, and a community library in the 'Hut of Knowledge'. For your convenience, we also provide licensed liquor sales and essential supplies at our on-site store.

General Store - located on site at the entrace to the park, we are a licenced liquor & tabacco store, ice creams lollies chips frozen food ice & refreshments
WASHING AREA: Please do not wash/sieve gemstones at your site, cabin or at taps and sinks around the park, there is a free gemstone washing area up near the large green water tank complete with Willoughby's, tables and Sieves also additional sieves and picks are available for sale at the parks onsite general store.
Fossicking tours are avalable and operated by local 3rd party providers. You can find links and contact details on our 'Sapphires' page or ask our friendly staff at the general store upon arrival.
SHOWERS – We recommend all children under the age of 12 are accompanied by an adult – the hot water can be very very hot.
PETS - We are a pet-friendly park We welcome well-behaved pets, for the safety of other guests and your pets, please keep them on a leash at all times on leash at all times and pick up after them, you are welcome to take them to the camp fire and bbq but please do not take them into any of the amenities. All our Cabins are pet free
CAMPSITES - we offer both powered and unpowered sites. Powered sites include access to 240V electricity
Check-in is available from 12:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM. If you plan to arrive after hours, please contact us in advance to arrange your entry.

Yes, a fossicking license is required by law in Queensland. These can be purchased online through the Department of Resources website or at various local outlets in the Gemfields.
